This project transformed an existing detached garage into a warm, multi-functional guest retreat designed for year-round comfort and adaptability. The new studio layout features a fully finished interior with a thoughtfully designed en-suite bathroom, creating a private and welcoming space for guests. An integrated Murphy bed and custom-built cabinetry allow the suite to transition seamlessly between sleeping quarters and an open studio. Dedicated storage solutions were crafted for outdoor gear, exercise equipment, linens, and bath essentials—ensuring the space remains organized, efficient, and visually cohesive.

Natural light and connection to the outdoors were significant priorities in the design. A new bi-fold door, strategically placed skylights, and an upgraded garage door brighten the interior and enhance functionality. These elements work together to elevate the experience of the space, turning a simple garage conversion into a versatile, light-filled retreat that blends thoughtful craftsmanship with everyday practicality.
